Digital Design (DD) and/or Product Design (CT) combined are the programs offered in Design class:
Product design allows you to complement the skills you have learnt in ICT at the same time it enables you to tackle design project working with various tools, materials and systems. In many cases you are to create a product/solution involving the use of materials which may be natural or synthetic. You should be able to identify, combine, experiment with, shape and handle different types of materials, and safely dispose of, or recycle, waste products. You must select processing techniques that are appropriate to both the chosen material(s) and the product/solution to be created. Tangible solutions (3D) are typically the result of a product design (ex. food product design, fashion design, electronic product design, engineering design, ect.).
In Digital design, most classes will be in the computer lab. DD provides opportunities for you to learn new skills needed in a rapidly changing and developing environment. Two-dimensional (2D) tangible solutions made using computer-aided manufacturing techniques are typically the result of this course (ex. web design, interactive media design, programming and control, ect.).
